If these creatures are ever found, I sure hope Greenpeace and other ecological groups step in - - FAST! When I look into subjects such as these, I find our ancestors were giving us a sense of morals, sort of like the parables in the Bible. They were telling us how to live our lives and to have respect for all living things (well, that's my explaination anyway) and to take care of ourselves as well. Sometimes our curiousity or our greed to make money, to achieve fame, or our search of physical facts gets in the way of the essence of these creatures. And we replace them with creepy, scary urban ledgends that instill fear and not a life lesson. Imho, this is a good question for the Mythology & Folklore section.
