Please use a proper noun and not, “it” as there are numerous animals were are dealing with and I do not know which one you are referring to.
Next, if by, “it” you are referring to the “frilled shark” as I stated, it was dying way before it was found and the people only tried to save it. They did not remove it for the expressed purpose of getting DNA or anything else.
in fact it died when they bring out of the water to check it and get DNA and other stuff…

It’s actually an Eel… supposedly it can live in the deepest waters of the ocean so it could possibly be alive no one really knows

It is actually called a “batfish.” It has modified its pectoral fins into very hand-like appendages for walking around. It is truly a bizarre looking creature,

The frilled shark at 1:07 is at the surface. They are deep water fish that only come to the surface when they are sick and dying. Since it was found at the surface, and obviously was not doing well, they tried to rescue it by bringing it to an emergency pressure chamber. The fish died anyways.
They did not kill it. Next time, get your facts straight…

The “fish” at 2:04 is a fake.
It is a statute made after a group of fish that have been extinct for millions of years. If you do not believe me, please show me an example of someone catching this fish
its atype of japanese angler and it is pretty awesome
most of the fish like the one at 2:04 are from deep under sea where we havent explored yet
